Saturday
Started well with (reliving Ocilympic glory) synchronized 4am Chris jumping then 4.12am pleading and bowl filling , then out the cat door and away . Magnificent "dawn chorus" to prove that we haven't yet eaten all that is feathery.
Morning tea then a snooze, padded chairs on deck work well on a sunny day . Woke up when water blasting started , went back to sleep, lunch , another sleep. Woke, moved to garage where Chris was painting , assisted with painting .
Dinner and bed.
Sunday
See jumping above .
Lizzy and I spent considerable time trying to get a stick through the cat door but we just couldn't . Will double check with tape measure . Chris found the mouse collection (fake) under a dresser and we spent some time re-hiding them. Got into a fight with the hall carpet.
Dinner etc

It sounds like a glorious weekend. Our cats were full of mischief too.
Friday night the remnants of Hurricane Ivan (thankfully just a bad thunder storm by the time it got to us) blew through our Maryland town. The cats were quite upset about it though. When they weren't racing up and down the stairs, or trying to push the mini blinds out of the way so they could see the storm, they were walking over me, and rubbing me with their faces (all at about 5:00am). I think part of the problem was that the UPS was beeping because of all the power spikes.
On Sunday Grace had a great time watching me sand and paint the woodwork around the front window. She followed my every move, and definately would have tried helping me if she could. :)
